New Villagers Club of Tellico Village

The New Villagers Club of Tellico Village got its roots in January 1998. Tellico Village residents saw a need for a “newcomers” group in the community. They were looking for fellowship and new friends. The first meeting drew about 90 residents. Since then, the numbers have grown, friendships have increased, and New Villagers is stronger than ever. New Villagers has over 1,000 members to be exact! Besides the usual scheduled socials, there are hundreds of activities to sign up for. If there isn’t an activity that interests you, they will create one. Activities include golf, dinners for six, wine groups, sporting events, performances, hiking, boating, dancing, cards and games, art/painting events, picnics, day trips, excursions, vacations, and so much more. You can be a New Villager for the first two years of your residency. After that most move on to join the HOA (Home Owner’s Association) if not before then. There are new residents coming in on a regular basis. We often hear that the couples that were met during New Villagers are the friends that they have remained close to over the years.

Last week, New Villagers Golf took to the course for the first time this year. There were 92 of them in attendance-the largest number to date. After golfing 9 holes at The Links at Kahite, the group gathered for dinner at the clubhouse. It was a fun andbeautiful day on the course. Below are some images from the outing.
