This is Tellico Village’s newest 18-hole championship course. The Links at Kahite opened in 2002 and is a true links-style course with very unusual design characteristics. The course meanders through a beautiful natural setting and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains. It has six sets of tees that play from 7,170 yards to 4,435 yards.
Among Kahite’s challenges are the 93 bunkers on the course, with 12 of those being on hole number 18. The famous 9th hole is an 808- yard par 6. Kahite features bentgrass greens and Bermuda fairways. The tall fescue lining some of the fairways provides for outstanding shot framing and plenty of penalty for the wayward drive. The Links of Kahite was nominated in 2003 to Golf Digest as best new private course.
Kahite features the Village’s newest driving range facility, practice bunkers and putting green. The Kahite Clubhouse offers great casual dining and an outdoor patio for post-game refreshments.

Meet The Golf Professional
Jeff Harrington was introduced to the game of golf at the early age of five years old by his father Jay Harrington, a lifelong PGA Member and Club Professional. He spent his childhood days going to the golf course with his father, helping out with daily golf shop activities and playing golf from sun up to sun down. Jeff was recruited to play college golf at Lees McCrae University and went on to finish his college career at Appalachian State. He earned membership in the PGA in 1987 and worked as an assistant professional at various golf clubs in North and South Carolina as well as Ohio. In 1991, Jeff was hired as the Head Golf Professional at the DeBordieu Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, where he served for 12 years prior to moving to the Tellico Lake area. Jeff joined the Tellico Village Golf professional staff in 2012 and currently is the Head Golf Professional at The Links at Kahite. Passing on the knowledge he has learned from a lifetime of golf is his passion, and in his spare time he enjoys playing guitar, staying fit and following Cincinnati Bengals football.
