Symphony League takes to the lakes for recent events

The Knoxville Symphony is keeping an active schedule this summer season, providing opportunities for guests to enjoy the many lakes in the area. Held at the Tellico Village Yacht Club, the Knoxville Symphony League hosted its third annual wine event, “Pull the Corks… Pop the Fireworks,” which featured an exclusive evening of fine wine, gourmet dining, music and fireworks.

Throughout the program music could be heard performed by a KSO string quartet of Sara Matayoshi, Bill Pierce, Ikuko Koizumi and Stacy Miller as well as the Chamber Orchestra performances conducted by KSO Concertmaster Gabriel Lefkowitz. The three-course dinner prepared by Chef William Minkert was accompanied with wine pairings including a selection from Randy and Jenny Boyd’s vineyard in Argentina. Finally, guests all enjoyed the fireworks display over the Little Tennessee River.
