With warmer weather on the horizon, local boating officials have been working to get the word out about water safety as the upcoming Memorial Day weekend signals the unofficial start of boating season on East Tennessee’s numerous lakes and rivers.
Loudon County Mayor Rollen “Buddy” Bradshaw recently recognized May 21-28 as the county’s National Safe Boating Week and presented a proclamation to the local U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
