Pros play for Folds of Honor

Recently the PGA professional staff at Tellico Village held a friendly but heated competition to raise money for the Folds of Honor Foundation in conjunction with Patriot’s Day. Through donations and bucks for birdies, the pros raised more than $5,000 for the cause.

The five pros teed it up for fun and charity, and scores of Tellico Villagers turned out to cheer them on. This was the first year this particular format was employed to raise funds for the Folds of Honor. Tellico Village has raised more than $15,000 over the past several years in support of the charity.

Director of Golf Jim West and his Titleist partner, Casey Flenniken, took home team honors. Flenniken carded the most birdies with seven.

A good time was had by all who played and attended. Next year’s event is already in the planning stages to add a live band and barbecue after the tournament.
